How much do you charge?

This is the most frequently asked question and the hardest to answer as it all depends on the length of performance and type of performance you are looking for.

Everyone has different needs and desires in terms of type, style and length of performance (Illusion Show, Comedy Magic Show, Close-up Magic, Birthday Party etc.) It is impossible to know everyone's specific needs and what type of performance, length and size of performance and the equipment required when simply asked, "How much does it cost for a show?" 

We perform magic but we don't read minds very well :-)

We can provide standard options and rates relating to our main performance styles when we know what style will be most appropriate for you, but we cannot provide a simple fee without first knowing enough details.

The best way to get a cost for your performance is to fill out our Get Your Free Quote form, with as much information and details as possible then we can provide the appropriate options and rates for your needs and we can provide an exact quote for your specific event requirements!

What type of entertainment do you do?

Our primary and main entertainment is Magic and Illusion shows. We provide the highest quality magical entertainment with full-time professionals such as international award winning magician, illusionist and owner of Mobile Magic Entertainment, Damien Carriere. However, Mobile Magic Entertainment provides solutions to all your entertainment needs by providing other professional entertainers such as jugglers, clowns, face painters etc. We offer the highest quality entertainers who are the best in their area of entertainment. This way you can be confident with the entertainment without worrying about how it will affect your event. We have done all the searching and hard work for you so you can relax and enjoy!

 We specialize and perform every type of magic including:

Are you the cheapest option?

Believe it or not, this is a commonly asked question especially when budgets are tight.

YES! For what we offer, but you have to be comparing apples to apples.

If you are comparing us with part time and hobby entertainers and magicians who perform on weekends and have another job during the week than no. We provide full time professional entertainment, not just another "Uncle John" who knows some tricks and has a website and a listing in the phone book. No offence intended toward part-time and hobby entertainers because it is challanging to make a full time living performing. We offer more than 20 years experience and professionalism, not to mention the added value of our Money Back Guarantee that we provide to you! We will give your money back if you are not satisfied. Less than 1% of entertainers and magicians will offer this kind of guarantee but we do because we are confident in what we provide.

How long is your show?

Our show lengths vary depending upon the type and style of show or performance you require and depending upon the length of show or performance you desire.

Our most common Comedy Magic performance lengths are: 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute long performances depending on what you would like and what your budget allows.

Our Illusion performances can be as short as one Illusion or as long as a full 90 min. show and everything in between.

Our Relational Magic or Close Up/Mingling/Table/Strolling Magic performance time depends on the size of group to be entertained and the nature of the event. We usually have a 60 minute minimum however, we have performed for up to 10 hours straight in one day for some events! With that said, 2 hours of relational close up magic is often appropriate depending on the length of your event and the number of people expected. 

Some bookings that include a comedy magic show or an illusion magic show combined with our relational close up /mingling magic can last anywhere from 2 hours to as long as 6 to 10 hours! 

Some of our Stage and Illusion shows are around 90 minutes long and our variety show lengths are often longer.

We also provide custom performance lengths to fit specific time slots.

The real answer to the question, "How long is your show or are your performances?" could be, how long do you need?

 
What type of entertainment or performance do we need for our event?

The type of performance depends upon the event itself. We work with you to help you decide the type of performance that would best suite your needs and budget. This is where filling in the booking request form will provide the information we need to help make sure you have the right entertainment for your event. Please complete the Booking Request Form and we will be able to advise you on the best type of performance for your event.

How much space do you need?

The amount of space needed depends on the type of performance your are booking.

Our Relational Close Up Mingling/Roaming Magic only requires enough space to move between people around the event so it doesn’t require any space other then the space used for the guests as the entertainment is mobile and out of pockets and small cases.

For a small private Comedy Magic show, we only require a minimum area that is 6 feet by 6 feet however, it is more ideal to have a space of 8 feet by 8 feet or larger is available.

Our standard Comedy Magic Show is best in an area of about 10 feet by 10 feet although a larger space is ideal! We can also perform this in a smaller area if needed as this show option is very versatile but please check with us when booking if space is likely an issue.

Our Illusion show requires a minimum of 16 feet by 20 feet. Our Full Stage Illusion show requires a theatre size stage.

What do you need us to provide for you?

In most cases we don't need much from you except the contract and deposit and then the final payment on or before the performance date. Other than that, we need the space to perform and a power outlet. That is usually it!

It does depend on the type of performance you request but for most of our performances, with the exception of stage and illusion shows, we don’t require anything from you but space to perform and a power outlet. We are completely self-contained and show up with everything we need. It is one of our value added bonuses. You book us and don’t need to book anything else for us because we provide it!

Our Comedy Magic Show does not require a stage or platform however, if you are booking a Comedy Magic show and you will be in a venue that does not have a platform or stage and you would like the entertainment to be raised and easily visable to everyone than you would need to arrange for a platform or a stage as we don't currently provide one ourselves however, if you would like us to take care of this for you we can do so and provide you with the extra cost as long as you provide us with sufficient time to do so.

 

How do I book? What is the booking process?

To book a performance just fill out our Booking Request Form or call us at 1-877-326-2442 with as much information as possible and we will contact you to answer any questions you may have and to discuss your specific needs.

The booking process is simply call us or fill out our Booking Request Form then we will check our availability and confirm details with you if needed. Then we email you our contract and you just need to sign the contract and provide us with a 50% non-refundable deposit by cheque, e-transfer or credit card. That's it!

Then you can relax and know that your entertainment is booked!

What is your availability?

Our availability is always changing; even throughout a given day we receive new bookings. We can only give you our current availability for a specific date and time. For any given date we can often book one performance in the morning, one or two in the afternoon and one in the evening, so just giving us a date may not give us enough information to answer this question. Your event may also require us to have an entire date available especially if we would need to travel.

Depending on the type of performance and nature of an event and location, we may only book one performance on a specific date and the first contract and deposit received books the date! Your best bet is to find a date and time that works for you and then if we are available for your desired time, request a contract and send us your 50% depost and filled in contract to avoid disappointment!

Can you hold a date for us?

Unfortunately the only way to hold a date and time is to make sure you have booked the date and that we have received your contract and deposit. We receive many inquiries and we are unable to hold dates any other way!

Do you perform outdoors?

Yes! Weather permitting, we do perform some of our shows outdoors, however, we require a clean and dry performing area. You will have to check with us to see if the performance you would like is available as an outdoor performance.

What if you cancel or can't make it to the event we booked you for?

 With over 20 years of performing, we have NEVER  canceled or missed a performance that we have booked to date!

That doesn't mean that it can't happen so in the rare case that something beyond our control were to occur, we would try to replace the entertainer with a similar quality entertainer or give you a full refund. We are able to offer our MONEY BACK GUARANTY because we are confident that your expectations will not only be met but also surpassed!
